As a result of Hezbollah's struggle for existence and its search for a "raison d'čtre", Lebanon today is paying dearly with lives and infrastructure. Is this your idea of an aventure Mr. Nasrallah. Well you are not up to the war, why start it? Just to justify your arms? What are the real reasons? To relief pressure off the islamic resistence in Gaza, you destroy Lebanon? Well **ck you and hopefully you'get killed this time, you and your leadership and mini-militia. |

Bouncing back online - hello all...hope your families are well inshalla. Allah yer7am the children, mothers and fathers who were amongst the victims of the Qana bombings Sunday...I was in tears as I watched the Arab news from my home in Montreal. So fortunate am I to be here...so guilty I can't be on-site. Bless all those working on-site to secure families in need.
Quickly read thru the posts here and wanted to hear from all of you based on your previously stated opinion in this thread:
quote: Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora meanwhile denounced the Qana carnage as a "war crime" and thanked Hezbollah. "I thank (Hezbollah leader) Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah for his efforts and I thank all those who are sacrificing their lives for Lebanon's independence," he said.
Peace - keep well.

What happened in Qana was a disaster. Any time you have civilians, particularly innocent children, caught in the fire between war criminals (Israeli or Hezbollah), it is a sad and painful situation. Realistically, my only recourse against Israel may be legal if any. But my recourse against Hezbollah is moral and legal. Let us all remember what the UN declared last week: Hezbollah was launching rockets from near their UNIFIL base. It is highly likely that Hezbollah may have been launching rockets from near the Qana building. I am not defending the heinous crime or those who committed it but this is the second time in the same town. I blame the Hezbollah fighters and the Lebanese government for not taking the innocent children out or securing a safe passage for the civilians out of Qana. As for taking the country to civil war, I feel Hezbollah is on that path. If by the end of this war Hezbollah's arms do not come under the umbrella of the LEbanese government, one way or another, we will be heading to civil war. I hope Hezbollah's leadership does not mistake the unity of the Lebanese people against the Israeli crimes in Lebanon as an endorsement of what Hezbollah did to provoke this war. I believe Hassan Nasrallah must stand trial for bringing this destruction on Lebanon. I am fine so is my family. Thank you for checking. |

Welcome back Dana, we missed your input. I hope you and your family are fine. Words of shock and outrage are not enough. The sight of innocent little children maimed in this war is revolting. Their blood is on the hands of the barbaric Israelis but also on the hands of Hezbollah's leadership. At this time I do not wish to get into the blame game, there are more urgent actions to be taken to stop this massacre and help the refugees and the wounded. I am not inclined to discuss the posts under this particular title now; but I read through them again today, following your suggestion, and I think many of them were right on point. I will let you figure out which ones. You seem to be an intelligent person. As for Siniora's statement, it is meaningless, it is meant to preempt a future conflict between Sunnis and Shi3as in Lebanon. What is needed of PM Siniora is more action than words. Again not time for internal dissent but I reserve the right to make my opinions known once this war is over. Peace to all.
